You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Day-to-day duties: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
