Vacancy available: retail butcher (Louisiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a retail butcher in Saint Charles Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a halal meat counter. What we are looking for: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • 2+ years experience working as a butcher On a typical shift you will weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. 2+ years on the tools preferred. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
