Great opportunity: we are hiring a steam press operator in Lancaster County, South Carolina. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
