Join our team: we are hiring a furniture maker in Denali Borough, Alaska. The job is at a shopfitting company. Day-to-day duties: • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish You should have: • Own basic hand tools • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work Performance bonus on top of base pay.
