Great opportunity: we are hiring a halal butcher in Whitley County, Kentucky. Day-to-day duties: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
