Now hiring: vertical transportation technician (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Delaware County, New York. You will work at a busy lift company. Your main tasks: • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear You should have: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Valid driving licence for site call-outs 4+ years on the tools preferred.
