Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in Lynn County, Texas. On a typical shift you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends.
