Now hiring: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Pennington County, Minnesota. The job is at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. You will cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash. Requirements: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads 3+ years on the tools preferred.
