Urgent requirement: we are hiring a beldar in Buncombe County, North Carolina. You will work with a civil contractor. Your main tasks: • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site What we are looking for: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
