Join our team: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Charleston County, South Carolina. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Day to day you will checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends.
