Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Mkpat Enin, Akwa Ibom State. Day to day you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
