Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Saint Clair County, Michigan. The job is in customers' homes and kitchens. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious Day-to-day duties: • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls Full-time with occasional weekends.
