Now hiring: argon welder (Minnesota)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Fillmore County, Minnesota. You will work on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination 2+ years on the tools preferred.
