Trowel-trade bricklayer — Nkanu West

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Nkanu West, Enugu State. The job is on a new-build development. Day-to-day duties: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Part-time with flexible hours.
