Cold store insulation technician — North Lanarkshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a cold store insulation technician in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. You will be based at a cold storage facility. Day-to-day duties: • Fix XPS and EPS boards to external walls with adhesive and mechanical anchors • Apply liquid waterproofing to bathrooms and terraces before tiling • Fit acoustic insulation to partition walls and floating floors • Fit mineral wool and glass wool batts between studs, joists and rafters • Install vapour barriers and seal all joints and overlaps with tape • Measure and cut insulation boards neatly around pipes, ducts and openings Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for sealing joints and avoiding thermal bridges • Disciplined about PPE — respirator, gloves and goggles • Working-at-height certificate an advantage Six days a week, one day off. £6,700 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
