Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle.
