Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at a power plant. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket You will carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; read lift plans and method statements before starting; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $4,400 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
