Vacancy available: we are hiring a cnc turning machinist in Penobscot County, Maine. You will work at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges On a typical shift you will check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; write and edit G-code programs at the control; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); load and index turning tools in the turret.
