Immediate opening: we are hiring a retail butcher in Caledonia County, Vermont. The job is in a supermarket meat department. The role involves: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
