Sausage maker wanted in Stewart County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sausage maker in Stewart County, Georgia. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. Ideal candidate: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required The role involves: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
