Urgent requirement: offshore rigger (Alabama)

Join our team: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Etowah County, Alabama. Your main tasks: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $26 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
