Production welder — Adair County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a production welder in Adair County, Iowa. You will work on a structural steel site. Day to day you will grind back and re-weld any defective runs; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead. What we are looking for: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
