Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in San Saba County, Texas. The job is on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work On the job you will handle: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
