We are recruiting: restoration bricklayer (Wales)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Caerphilly County Borough, Wales. The job is at a renovation and extension job. The role involves brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks 5+ years on the tools preferred. £2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
