On a typical shift you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
