Sewing machine operator • Sharkey County, Mississippi

Now hiring: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Sharkey County, Mississippi. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Your main tasks: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Six days a week, one day off.
