Great opportunity: gas metal arc welder (Maryland)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Frederick County, Maryland. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances On a typical shift you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
