Stitching operator • Montcalm County, Michigan

Now hiring: we are hiring a stitching operator in Montcalm County, Michigan. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day to day you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
