Sand plant operator — Dixon County

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Dixon County, Nebraska. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
