Urgent requirement: hoist operator (Michigan)

Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Charlevoix County, Michigan. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On a typical shift you will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL). Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Rotating shifts. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
