Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Tipton County, Indiana. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
