Now hiring: we are hiring a long-haul driver in Union County, New Mexico. You will work at a container freight yard. Requirements: • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience Day-to-day duties: • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
