Pressman wanted in Nottinghamshire

Join our team: we are hiring a pressman in Nottinghamshire, England. On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Give each garment a final press before packing • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
