Great opportunity: industrial sewing operator (South Dakota)

Join our team: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Mellette County, South Dakota. The job is at a busy garment factory. The role involves thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams 4+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
