Now hiring: we are hiring a sample machinist in Cortland County, New York. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching 5+ years on the tools preferred.
