Join our team: we are hiring a die-casting operator in South Ayrshire, Scotland. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. £130 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
