Vacancy available: estate gardener (Vermont)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an estate gardener in Rutland County, Vermont. What we are looking for: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
