Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel welder in McIntosh County, Georgia. Your main tasks: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
