What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites The role involves form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift.
