Vacancy available: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Saline County, Missouri. The job is at a container port. Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles The role involves: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings 4+ years on the tools preferred.
