Vacancy available: gas installation technician (England)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. On the job you will handle: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations 6+ years on the tools preferred.
