Concrete labourer • Morgan County, Tennessee

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete labourer in Morgan County, Tennessee. Day-to-day duties: • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
