Building site helper — Cole County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a building site helper in Cole County, Missouri. You will be based on a road and bridge project. What we are looking for: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain Your main tasks: • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker Six days a week, one day off.
