Immediate opening: we are hiring a butcher in Lincoln County, Missouri. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry The role involves monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; season and marinate meat on request; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
