Precision welder wanted in City of Chesapeake

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in City of Chesapeake, Virginia. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
