Aluminium tig welder — West Berkshire

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in West Berkshire, England. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Full-time with occasional weekends.
