Now hiring: offshore rigger (Mississippi)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Copiah County, Mississippi. The job is at a container port. Your main tasks: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites 1+ years on the tools preferred. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
