Pipe tig welder — Winnebago County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Winnebago County, Iowa. You will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
