Now hiring: we are hiring a canteen cook in Washita County, Oklahoma. The role involves check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency; manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes. Ideal candidate: • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
