Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On the job you will handle: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
